X Video Downloader — save any X video in HD quality
Copy the link to any public post on X that contains a video or GIF, and download the full MP4 — up to 1080p. Every rendition listed low → highest, best pre-selected.
How to download from X
Copy the link
On X, tap Share on the post, then “Copy link”. x.com and old twitter.com links both work.
Paste it here
You jump to the downloader with your link pre-filled, fetching automatically.
Save in HD
Preview in-browser, keep the pre-selected best (usually 720p or 1080p), or pick a smaller file.
Quality, GIFs & private posts
X stores each upload as several MP4 files. Get The Vid pulls all of them and sorts by bitrate, so “best” genuinely means best. Animated GIFs download as MP4 video. Text-only or photo-only posts — and private, deleted or age-restricted ones — return a clear message instead of a broken file.
